Lighthouses and Lobsters

August 2nd
Today was a day for getting grub, hanging out and exploring. We headed to the grocery store since we had no food at all. We had to go to a store that was about a half hour away since there were no big grocery stores in Castine. When we got back, my dad and brother Tad got out a huge 1500 piece puzzle and started working on that, with everyone helping out occasionally. My mom and two sisters and some of the cousins went out for a walk to see a lighthouse and then headed down to the rocky beach to take in the beautiful Maine coastline. My other sister and I couldn't go because we had kids napping and our husbands were out hunting for lobster for our dinner that night.

My sister is the photography queen--she's really good and captures most of our vacation pictures.

When everyone got home we had surf and turf for dinner. Not a bad way to start out the vacation.

I love seeing everyones blog about Maine. I wish we could go back and hang out again. I think the best day there was when we just chilled at the house all day. It was very relaxing. Later
