September

September was kind of a boring month with not a lot going on, besides school and soccer.  So, I'm going to throw it all into one blog post and move on to October!
Tuesday Sept. 1st
Maggie's friend had an end of summer get-together and they painted and hung out.
Friday Sept. 4th
I took Bella, Noah and Paige to Out of this World Pizza to play for an end of summer activity.
That night we all went shoe shopping for school and out to eat at Red Robin.
Saturday Sept. 5th
Remember the "dates" we gave to Garrett for Father's Day?  Noah's was to go bowling with dad and out to lunch, so Garrett took Noah out today.
snacking on some French Fries in between bowling games.
 They had a fun time.
That night Garrett bought some tickets to another Hillsboro Hops baseball game and invited his dad.  We tried to see if the kids wanted to go, but Lydia was the only one that wanted to come.  We only got to see a couple of innings because we thought it started at 7, but it really started at 6.  Oops!
 Sunday Sept. 6th
We went over to grandma and grandpa's house for dinner that night.  She's also been suggesting that we all sleep over in the bunk house for awhile, but it's been too hot.  So, we thought we'd do it before school started, since Noah hasn't had the chance to sleep up there yet.
They've been working on the land behind their's and left the tractor there for the weekend, so the kids got some pictures with it.  It's huge!!
Putting all our sleeping gear up in the bunk house.
Noah's spot next to the air mattress where Garrett and I were sleeping.
 Bella on the futon
and the other 3.  The next day for one of Paige's Faith in God projects, she had to do a service project of some kind.  So, since grandma just had knee surgery, she set it up for all of us to come and help clean grandma's house.  I know grandma really appreciated it!
Thursday Sept. 10th
Maggie started up her ballroom dance classes again.  Although, she would eventually quit in November when basketball season started up because she had games/practices on Thursday night.  I think she's going to start going again here soon now that basketball is over.
 Friday Sept. 11th
Paige and her friends Brooke, Sarya and Hailey made up some lemonade and had a lemonade stand.  I think they made some money this time instead of giving it away for free.
 Their cute sign.
There's not a whole lot of traffic on our street, so they made their business mobile and walked around the neighborhood trying to sell their lemonade.
Saturday Sept. 12th
I bought another 100 lbs. of apples like I did last year and started working on them everyday.  I pretty much just made applesauce and lots of apple desserts.
Tuesday Sept. 15th
For mutual the young women played "minute to win it" games.  I love that Brother Jensen (bishopric member) was playing, too.
 Saturday Sept. 19th
I went to the baptism of one of my primary kids and Garrett took the little kids to the park.
 Monday Sept. 21st
Bella taught the FHE lesson on what we should be thinking about during the Sacrament.
Saturday Sept. 26th
It was the General Relief Society Women's Meeting, so Maggie, Lydia and Paige and I dressed up and went to watch it at the Stake Center.
 These girls are sure cute!
Going in a little late so we could take a selfie...
Garrett took these 2 out for hamburgers and chicken nuggets and bought them some new church shoes.
After the meeting, we went out to eat at "The Old Spaghetti Factory".
It was a fun night of girl bonding!!
And with September comes soccer...and lots of soccer pictures.
Lydia's team...she had the same coach as last year and she was really excited about it because he's a good coach.
 Paige's team
Garrett coached Noah's team, with Maggie as his assistant coach.  I think he really enjoys coaching the older kids more.  This was pretty much refereeing recess.
 Bella as aggressive as ever!
 Paige is getting better!
 Lydia and her friend Kali
 Noah
He played a lot more this year...we'll see how he does next year.
The other assistant coach made up these pictures for their team.
I can't seem to find the other team pictures.

Most of August

Saturday Aug. 1st
Washington County Fair
Noah looking pretty cool on the cop's motorcycle.
We went to the county fair, despite to 100 degree temperature.  It was pretty miserable!  But, it's tradition to go.
Getting their picture taken with the big wooden pig--another tradition!
Love these two and their friendship!
Riding on the ferris wheel
A great view of the fairgrounds
It's too bright--even in the shade!
Sunday Aug. 2nd
We went to grandma and Grandpa's after church for dinner.  Taking a picture in front of the tree now that all the hand prints are up in the barn.
Garrett and Paige playing a very involved game of giant Jenga.

Garrett ended up winning in the end...it went on for like 20 minutes.
Monday Aug. 3rd
We had been talking for quite sometime about putting stone up around our fireplace and up to the ceiling.  We got a little extra money and decided to go ahead and do it.  So, the workers came to day and put it up.  This is a before shot.
...and an after shot.  We really love how it turned out!!
Thursday Aug. 6th
side walk chalk art in the street
Friday Aug. 7th
Peach picking!!
oh man, we love peaches!!
I've got a great peach picking crew!
We even went back a second time to get some more!
They have these beautiful sunflowers there and I wanted to get a picture of my kids in front of them.  Bella, for some reason was grumpy and wouldn't sit down with the others, so this is the picture I got.
The younger kids wanted to make a fort in their room and Maggie was nice enough to help them.
Going to sleep in their fort.
I finally finished this 4th of July quilt that I started about 10 years ago.  Yay me!
Putting the girls to work to help with canning peaches.
Tuesday August 11th
These kids (esp. Lydia) love playing on the ipad with some app where they use the camera to take pictures of themselves and distort their facial features.  They laugh and laugh!
Here's just one example of the thousands that they take.
When dad gets home from work....they like to wrestle!
Thursday August 13th
Maggie went with her best friend to get their driver's permit.  The picture above is her just finishing her test and waiting to get in line for the paper work.
She's a driver now!!
Friday August 14th
Intel had a zoo day today from 11-3 pm.  We had just gone to the zoo, but Garrett really wanted to go and the kids were excited too.  They had a free lunch for us, so that was nice!
Looking for the bears
Riding on the train
Maggie brought her friend Emma
family selfie
driving with the windows down...I LOVE Bella's expression!
Saturday August 15th
For Father's day, we gave Garrett a "date book".  It was a book of 5 individually created "dates" that each kid came up with of what they wanted to do with dad on a "one-on-one" date.  Paige wanted to go shooting, have lunch and get ice cream.
Today was the day for their date and these are the pictures that they took on their date.
This girl's got pretty good aim, and she really enjoys it.
And later that night, I got my own date with him--to the temple and dinner after at Red Lobster.
I love spending time with him!
Wed. Aug 19th
Intel had it's annual Take your kids to work day.  Maggie has been enough and didn't want to go this year.
They had face painting, but Noah chose to get his arm painted.
These two got pretty butterflies on their faces.  Lydia didn't want to participate.
They watched "Big Hero 6", did crafts, and also played mini-golf.  They got to eat lunch there and have ice cream, too.
 Thursday August 20th
Garrett got tickets from some friends of ours who are season ticket holders to the Hillsboro Hops baseball game.  We haven't been to a baseball game in a long time, so it was fun to go.
We snapped a picture right before we left.
Saturday August 22nd
We ran in the Color Vibe!  I love that it was so close to us--right at our fairgrounds.  It started at 9 and we were worried that we wouldn't get done in time because Maggie and Lydia has a mutual activity at the beach and they were leaving right at 10.  We made it in time though.
 Before the race
 and after.  It was fun!
Maggie and Lydia at the beach.
A group of friends from the ward.
 Cute Lydia
Tuesday August 24th
Maggie's friend Emma had her birthday part at the coast.  They stopped in Tillamook for some ice cream and went down to Lincoln City, too.  I can't remember what else they did, but they had a fun day.
