I had a great Mother's Day thanks to a wonderful husband and girls. And the awesome weather helped a bunch, too. After church, Garrett and girls fixed me a mother's day lunch. It was going to be a dinner, but since he was barbecuing we thought we better do it for lunch so we could enjoy it in case the weather changed. I was able to talk to my parents while lunch was being prepared which was nice. Then we enjoyed some seriously
YUMMY fajitas! Thanks Garrett! Then while the girls played outside, I was able to kick back on the patio and sit in the sun and read. It was really nice.
Later that night, before we dipped strawberries and marshmallows in chocolate fondue, I opened my presents. From my parents, I got some really yummy chocolate candies from Idle Isle (a Utah thing, I think) and a nice card.
The girls always make things at school and church that I love. Here are Maggie's:

She planted the flower and one of the cards at Activity Girls and made the other card at school. Then she made me some coupons, which include: doing ALL the laundry, vacuuming the playroom, living room and front room, a massage, loading and unloading the dishwasher, and making my bed! Nice!
Lydia's:

At school, Lydia made me a box out of paper (pretty cool, I thought) and had a picture of herself in it with some Hershey kisses and a note that said, "I love Mom. And if I be mean give me hot sauce." That's saying a lot because she HATES getting hot sauce!! Then she drew that cute picture of herself (she's a fabulous artist) and then gave me some great coupons that includes: doing the dishes, cleaning the mirror, cleaning up the front room, living room and the play room, sweep the floor, another massage and make my bed.
Paige made these cute pictures for me at school:

The pink one was an angel and the body was a packet of "Forget me Not" seeds that we planted in our back yard. This one on the bottom is a picture of me. She is also becoming a great artist. She is always coloring and drawing pictures of us.
This one was from Garrett and he had all the girls sign it as well.

He got me a nice new video camera that I have been wanting for a while. It's so tiny compared to our old one. Our old one still uses those little tapes. And then we were mostly using our regular digital camera to record little videos, but it wouldn't zoom very far and wasn't the best quality, so I'm really excited about our new video camera.
Before letting me open it, he videoed each of them telling me a little message about what they love about me, which was really sweet. I'm trying to watch that in the picture below, but was laughing because Bella was knocking me out of the way trying to see, too.

I really love being a mom and being able to raise my kids and stay at home with them. There are a lot of areas to improve in, but I'm still working on that. I'm so blessed to have 4--pretty soon 5 amazing kids. Thanks to my cuties and my wonderful husband Garrett for taking such good care of me today!
And thanks to my mom and mother-in-law for their great examples! I love you both!
