Camping in Ft. Stevens

On April 17th, we loaded up the trailer and headed up to Ft. Stevens to go camping at a KOA for the weekend.  Jim and Georgia went with us and rented a cabin there close to our campsite.  I didn't get any pictures that evening.
Saturday April 18th
The KOA campgrounds always have a free pancake breakfast, so we like to take advantage of that.
After breakfast, Garrett, Maggie, Lydia and I went on a walk/run.
Us girls showered and Garrett took the younger ones to go swimming.  When they were done, they played outside for a little while.  I love the big chess boards they have around the campsites.
I love this picture of Noah hanging out by the trailer after swimming.  The way he's sitting reminds me of a little old man sitting on the front porch with his legs crossed.
After lunch, we went to the playground and went swinging, played basketball, moved more chess pieces around (since we don't know how to play chess) and jumped on the big bouncy pillow they have.
It was quite fun, until some guy kept walking by us and staring.  Then he came on and started jumping, so we got off and went back to camp.
Then we decided to go to the beach.  It was SO windy and cold!  Georgia can't walk on the sand because of her knees, so after he dropped us off, he went back and picked them up and drove them down onto the beach.  Georgia sat in the car and read and we sat around watching the kids dig in the sand and run down the hills.
Then I told them all to jump up at the same time so I could take their picture in the air.  I love how they turned out, even if they didn't all jump at the same time.  I love the blue sky behind them.

There were a bunch of wind surfers out there.  They were soaring in the air with all the wind!
The car protected some of the wind, but we had sand everywhere!
Back at camp fixing dinner.
My boys sitting around the fire.  I love that they both have their hats backwards.
It was still pretty cold and windy that night, so Georgia chose to stay in the car.

This is the only picture I got of this day.  We were packing up and getting ready to leave.  Lydia wanted to lay in the sun--I thought it was cute!
