It has been years since we have celebrated Thanksgiving with my parents, so we decided to drive out to Wellsville, UT and spend it with them. We left early on Saturday the 21st and drove the whole day to get there that night. It was a beautiful drive!
Kids doing their thing in the car--mostly watching movies
Sunday November 22nd
We went to church that day, but mostly just hung out and visited. My brother and his family live in Wellsville too, so they came over and spent the day with us. This is Iris (my niece) and Bella hanging onto Maggie.
Lydia, Maggie and I were in the middle of watching Lost on netflix (I have the dvd's but didn't bring them), so we set up my laptop to watch it while my parents were watching football.
Monday November 23rd
Paige loving on their cat, Ichabod.
On this day, Maggie, myself and my mom went to some craft and quilt stores and then we met up with Garrett and the other kids for lunch at Costa Vida. That night we watched "Monuments Men."
Tuesday November 24th
I had set aside this day to taking our family pictures for Christmas Cards. I thought it would be fun to have some new places to take pictures. We started out in front of my dad's barn and got a lot of pictures here. It's such a cool barn!
Then we stopped a couple other places around Wellsville.
We were all pretty hungry by then, so stopped and got some lunch and ate it in the car before heading up Logan Canyon for one last spot.
That night we watched "Hunger Games"
Wednesday November 25th
Solviej invited us to go ice skating with her and her kids. None of my kids have ever tried it so I thought it would be fun to go and try. Lydia had no desire to even try, so she watched and took pictures for me. At first Bella and Noah hated it because they couldn't stand up on the ice. But with a little help from me and Garrett and Hayden, they really started enjoying it.
I loved these cool "walker" things they had for the kids to use for support. Bella pretty much used it the whole time.
trying it without the walker--she didn't like that.
I'm not sure if he's crying in this picture--I think he is and in the next one too. This was right when we were first starting.
Hayden was such a good sport and helped Bella a lot!
I did ok...I prefer roller skating! Ice skates hurt my ankles.
Maggie barely left the wall...
Getting more confident!
That night around the time we were eating dinner, we noticed that it had started snowing so everyone wanted to go out and play in it!
I was trying to take picture through the glass doors, but they just kept throwing snowballs at me!
Thursday November 26th
Thanksgiving
I took this picture in the morning from the house...such a beautiful, peaceful place!
Of course the kids were ready to be out in the snow first thing! The driveway was the perfect place to go sledding!

Micah, Mailei and Hayden coming back up the hill
I got a lot more video than I did pictures. They were out there for awhile!
Noah came back in completely soaked with sweat and red faced! I guess he should've taken off some layers!
Lydia pulling Bella in the sled
My uncle Alan came up to spend Thanksgiving with us and brought his dog Lulu that the kids all love!
Noah and Iris watching some tv.
The Thanksgiving table (for the adults--kids got to eat at the bar).
Out sledding again!
Garrett took out dad's razor thing to give rides to the kids...Micah and Iris's turn
Dinner's nearly ready!
The table, again.
This is later that night when I was trying to get the kids in bed. Hayden brought Paige upstairs over his shoulder.
Friday November 27th
Today was another hang out and relax day for the most part. Kids played with the cousins and Lulu.
Cute Mailei coloring a picture--she's quite the little artist!
More rides out in the snow.
Garrett took Tad, Hayden and Micah--maybe Paige?-- up shooting his guns.
Karlie, Chris and Gavin came up to see us this day. We met them at Rumbii for lunch and then came back to Grandma's house. Gavin is so cute!

After awhile, they started their drive back home to Provo and the rest of us adults and Hayden and Maggie went to see "Mockingjay."
Saturday November 28th
Charee, Andy, Emily, Rachel and Alexis came up from Salt Lake to come with us to the Utah State/BYU football game.
Eating lunch before we headed out to the game. Tad's wife Solviej was super nice and watched my other 3 kids along with her own.
It was like 15 degrees that day, so we were bundling up as much as possible!
Waiting for the game to start
It was quite fun because me, Garrett, Maggie and Lydia were all rooting for BYU. My dad and Charee, Emily, Rachel and Hayden were all rooting for Utah State. I think all the others were on the fence. But, BYU won of course, so that was awesome!!
Emily and Hayden are both going to Utah State in the fall!
Charee and her family were heading back and we were leaving the next day, so we took some quick pictures.
Hayden was going with Charee and Andy because he was catching a plane home the next morning. All the kids LOVE Hayden so they wanted to say good-bye.

It was a fun week!
