First Half of February

February 4th
Noah was playing on the iPad and figured out how to take selfies.  His faces are so funny!!
February 9th
Maggie's going to hate me for posting this, but she's the one who took the picture.  She had to get 2 more teeth pulled for her braces.  We're in the home stretch with her braces and they are trying to get her top teeth pulled in so she doesn't have an overbite.  They felt that pulling two teeth was the only way to accomplish that.  She hated the idea of getting more pulled, but she did great and recovered quickly.

Opening the Valentines Day package from Grandma Hansen.  They always look forward to her packages.
Noah is Mr. Bling with all his rings and bracelets and flashlight rings.  He is too funny!
Garrett had to go to Vegas for meetings from the 7th to the 11th.  On the night of the 10th, he texted me some pictures of him at a Train concert.  I guess they brought in Train to perform for one of their Intel parties.  Pretty cool!

Garrett had bought us tickets to go see a Monster Jam Truck Rally on Valentines Day.  We had also decided that we wanted to go camping that weekend.  So before we headed downtown to the monster truck show, we packed up the trailer and got everything ready to go so that when we got back from downtown, we'd just hook up the trailer and be off.
Getting the trailer loaded
Cute picture of Noah in the trailer before we left
Included in the tickets that Garrett bought were tickets to a Pit Party where you could go down to the floor of the arena and see the Monster Trucks up close.  We thought Noah would love this, but he was not happy and didn't want to be down there.  I think he may have been a little nervous because it was loud and the trucks were so big and there were a lot of people.  We didn't have as much time as we thought we did, either so we had to hurry.  We thought we had up until the rally started, but by the time we got there, we had 10 minutes to walk around and see everything.  Which was a bummer!
El Torro Loco--one of my favorites
Grave Digger--everyone knows Grave Digger!
I wish he would've been a little more excited!
They raced these little 4 wheeler things before the big trucks came out.
 Scooby Doo--Noah's favorite
The Patriot--this was a cool one!
Back up in our seats, waiting for it to start
We were pretty early since we thought we had plenty of time to look around down in the pit. Garrett and the older girls went looking for food.
Finally getting started and having all the trucks drive around a couple of times.  It was so loud in there!  So glad Garrett was prepared so we all had ear protection!
El Torro Loco
Mohawk Warrior--he was pretty good!
Grave Digger
Mohawk Warrior doing donuts...
...and he tipped over
Scooby doo--had a female driver
Noah enjoying the show
The Patriot
I have to say that I really enjoyed watching this.  It was my first time to see something like this, but I thought it was really cool!
Northern Nightmare
Grave Digger
Time Flys
I love this picture of Noah!
Grave Digger doing donuts--I don't know how they do these--I'd be completely sick!
He got down to the concrete!
After we left, we went home and hooked up the trailer and headed out to Vernonia to go camping.  We were pretty late in getting there, so after we dropped off the trailer, we found a little Mexican restaurant in downtown Vernonia for dinner.
February 15th
The kids spent the morning playing at the playground.
Then, after we got breakfast cleaned up, we decided to go on a nature walk.
I had printed off lists of things to look for on our walk and brought along paper sacks to collect our stuff.  I also brought 2 sets of binoculars.
On our walk, we came across this old abandoned building.  It doesn't look like much, but we decided to take a peek on the inside.
It was pretty cool with all the grafitti and the trees growing on the inside.
It turns out that it is some sort of old lumber mill or something like that.
Lydia took this awesome picture
Heading back to the campground
We played Pooh Sticks when we went over the bridge.
Who knows whose sticks were whose...
When we got back, I brought out some goodies that I had prepared for Valentines Day.  Bingo, some candy, a Charlie Brown Movie, a fun puzzle that has pictures of us and 2 new games.
We played our new game Skipbo for quite awhile.  It was pretty fun--Bella really loved it.  I also bought a game called "Spot it" which was really fun, too.
Lydia took some time to draw a pretty view
then Garrett started a campfire

This morning after breakfast, Garrett insisted that we all go shooting.  There is this shooting range right across the river, so we went over and we each took a turn shooting a gun.

Noah, Bella and Paige all shot the BB gun, with Garrett's help
Bella
Paige doesn't really need help.  She loves shooting and she's got great aim.
Lydia
Since their turn was over and they were bored, they went to play Ring around the rosy.
Maggie
Maggie and Lydia really enjoyed it too.
And my turn...I really hate shooting guns
And Garrett finally got a turn.  Right after he started, some other people showed up and we had to leave.
I walked these guys back to the campground while Garrett finished up
Eating lunch
Playing catch
Then Lydia, Garrett, Maggie and I started playing baseball.  I took a turn at bat and it was so much fun!  I hadn't hit a ball in a long time.
Soon after though, we had to start packing up and heading home.  It was such a nice relaxing weekend!  I always hate to go home after camping.
