On November 2nd and 3rd, I went to a Time Out for Women, that is put on by Deseret Book. I went with my friends Julie, Tonya and Holly. We went to the Friday night session (which I've never been to before) and heard from Jenny Oaks Baker (an amazing violinist), Sherri Dew, and Virginia H. Pearce. They were all fabulous! We stayed the night at a hotel right across the street. These girls are so much fun to hang out with. We had a lot of fun! Then we went over the next day and heard from Hilary Weeks, Mary Ellen Edmunds, DeAnne Flynn, John Hilton III, Wendy Ulrich and Laurel Christensen. It was such an uplifting 2 days.

While I was gone, Garrett took the kids over to his parents house to help unpack, clean and work in the yard. When I got back home, OUR house was clean--they all did chores before they went to Grandma's house. It was so nice to come home to a clean house! Thanks Garrett and kids!

This was on the 10th. They went out to rake the leaves, but ended up playing with them instead.
Nov. 13th was my birthday. Garrett was out of town for it again, at a conference in SLC, UT. He took me out before he left. We went to dinner and to see James Bond--Skyfall (awesome movie!) He also got me this coat. I love it! Lydia wrote me this poem (above) for my gift. I took the kids and we went out to dinner that night for my birthday. It was a good day, but I always miss Garrett when he is gone.
November 14th was Bella's Thanksgiving Feast at her preschool. They dress up as pilgrims or Indians and have chicken noodle soup, corn bread, nuts, apples, candy corn and pumpkin pie. It's always very cute.
There is a ton of kids here, but they had combined the morning and afternoon classes so that they only had to do the feast once.

I took a picture of her at home with her Indian headband on. She really wanted me to take another one so that she could give Noah bunny ears. She cracked up about that! I love her face--she was laughing hard! I don't know why it was so funny, but it was.
November 19th was Lydia's 10th Birthday. We celebrated by going out to eat at the restaurant of her choice (Wendy's this year), and Grandma and Grandpa came with us. Then we went back to our house and opened presents.
She got a lot of Star Wars things. Star Wars legos from grandma and grandpa Hansen, we got her a lot of Star Wars figures, Star Wars sheets and Star Wars Squinkees. (Little tiny figures that can fit inside little round balls.) I don't get them. She also got money from grandma and grandpa McKibben.

Cute! What a fun feast they had. You know, I've loved the preschool that my kids go to, but I haven't been that impressed this year with Cora's new teachers. They never have fun crafts or parties. I'm so disappointed. Bella looked so cute. That's fun that Lydia is really into Star Wars. I've never heard of squinkee? They are figures inside of a ball? How do you play with them? Can't wait to hear about her party!
I didn't know that Lydia was that into Star Wars....love it! I haven't heard of squinkees either. Bella's Thanksgiving feast looked fun! She's so cute!
