Water parks and amusement parks

Idaho continued, again....
Tuesday 7th

Today we spent most of the day at the Silverwood Amusement Park and Boulder Beach Waterpark. (at the same place). Despite it being only a high of 73 degrees and partly cloudy, we headed for the water park first because that was the main agenda for the day. The kids had been very excited for this day to come because they wanted to play in the water. It was a really fun water park and had great rides and pools for the younger kids and older kids and a few slides for the really big kids. Had it only been a few degrees warmer, it would've been a lot better (f0r me anyway). I don't have any pictures of us at the water park, but a few more of the amusement park. They had this one slide that was a lot of fun. It was a bigger intertube that held like 4-6 people in it and when you went down the slide, it had so much momentum that when you went on a turn, the tube went up the side of the slide and the people that were opposite you were practically above you. It was very scary to look up and see someone right above you. It was fun though. Here's a picture I found on the internet:

Later in they afternoon we changed and went over to the amusement park side. We first rode on a train ride that got "robbed" and had a little skit in the middle of the ride. They stopped the train and the two robbers put on a show we couldn't hear it or see it very well because we were in the front of the train. After that we all split up and went on different things because it was getting late and the park was going to close soon. Since we split up and Garrett had the camera, we only have pictures of the people that were with Garrett.

Garrett rode on the "Aftershock" with I think Josh and Alex. Garrett said that he screamed like a little girl and almost peed his pants. Hey, at least he went on it, right? I don't think I would've. Here's a picture and a description of the ride.


This 191 foot tall beast is really two thrills in one, because not only does it take you forwards through a cobra roll and inverted loop at over 65 mph, but backwards as well! Once you board, the cars will slowly move backwards up the starting tower until you’re staring straight at the ground at nearly 190 feet in the air. Then gravity will take over and pull you 177 feet straight down as you reach speeds of 65 miles per hour! You’ll twist and turn though mind-blowing loops and rolls until you reach the second tower. This time, you’ll be looking at the sky as the coaster pulls you upward at a 90 degree angle, only to release and send you barreling through the whole thing backwards!
